1 STAR Course
This is the entry level of Free Diving. It will open your mind to a new kind of experience underwater.
Basically you will learn the theory of Freediving, and how to well prepare yourself for all the components of a breathold dive: duck dive, finning, buddying, safety techniques and overall breathing.
In order to successfully complete your 1 Star course, you will have to perform a 1 minute 15 second breathold and to swin 25 meters underwater with fins.
2 STARS Course
This is one of the most challenging and rewarding AIDA course, for those who are already self-condident in the open water. You will learn safety and good techniques through two theory sessions, a pool session and three open water dives.
To successfully achieve the AIDA 2 star level, you will have to perform a 2 minute breathold, to swim 40 meters underwater and to dive to 16 meters deep.
3 STARS Course
If you are interested in going always deeper and improving your technique, this course will allow you to learn the theory of Free Diving in more depth. By this way you will understand the physiology and techniques of diving deeper. Thanks to three theory sessions, two pool sessions and four open water dives, you will improve your Free Diving performance, your safety and rescue skills.
A 2 minute 45 second breathold, to swim 55 meters underwater with fins and to dive to 24 meters are needed to successfully complete the last but one freediver course.
4 STARS Course
This is the last level of Free Diving. It will take you to the latest techniques for deeper diving and also to learn even more about conditioning optimally your body for freediving. It will push you to your limits of your freediving abilities. This course can be combined with the Competition Freediver for those who are interested by competitive freediving.
The AIDA 4 stars consists of three theory sessions, two pool sessions and four open water dives, leading to the highest level you can achieve as recreational freediver.
In order to successfully complete this advanced course, you will have to perform a 3 minute 30 second breathold, to swim 70 meters underwater and to dive to 32 meters in the open water.
